Change Event Ownership

Change Event Ownership



In this example, Brenda Williams is the current owner,
and Brenda is changing the ownership to Emily Johnson.


1. Click on the settings wheel on the top right.



2. Click on “Change Owner.”



3. Search for the desired new owner.

Note: Only Creators and Admins are able to own events. Users without those roles cannot be assigned and will not appear in the search.

Click “Select” to add the new owner.





4. Click “Assign Selected.”



5. Click on “Yes” or “No” depending no your desired access.

Note: After confirming the next owner, you (the current owner) will no longer be able to edit the event.



6. The event owner is now changed and you cannot edit the event.



7. The new event owner will automatically receive an email that clarifies

who assigned them
the name of the event

The “View Event” button will take them to the volunteer board where they can access and edit the event.



Note: if the event is a draft, the email will clarify. (see below)
